Here's what we're working on

We focus on three areas where we think we can actually help. Some of these projects are big, some are small, some might not work out. But we're giving them all a shot.

Arts & Recreation

Trails, theaters, bike parks — places where people can play, create, and just be outside.

Chico Bike Park

Six acres of dirt jumps, pump tracks, and trails for anyone who wants to ride — no experience or fancy gear required.

Wilder

964 acres of conservation land next to Upper Bidwell Park — focused on land stewardship, fire protection, education, and thoughtful public access.

Collier's

Bringing a beautiful 1871 building back to life — performance space upstairs, shops downstairs, good times all around.

119 Main St — Second Cousin

A gallery and gathering space for contemporary art, craft, and design — coming to downtown Chico.

Economic Revitalization

Helping local businesses open, grow, and actually own something.

Humboldt & Willow

A little collection of local food spots and shops on Willow Street. Not chains — real Chico businesses.

Restaurant Group

People on our Stoble team had restaurant concepts they wanted to pursue. We're helping them make it happen — as a steward-owned business they'll run themselves.

101 Main St — SloDoCo

A building we're renovating for San Luis Obispo Donut Company, bringing their popular donut shop to Chico.

Park and 11th

An empty lot we're holding for future development. For now, it's home to La Bamba food truck and some community murals.

13th and Park

A mixed-use property with office and warehouse space. Currently home to some construction companies, with plans to use the warehouse for community events.

Housing & Basic Needs

Because everything else falls apart when you don't have a stable place to live.

Rent to Own

Renting kind of stinks when you build zero equity. We're trying a different approach — one that actually leads to owning your home.

grants & partnerships

Organizations we support

Beyond our own projects, we give grants to local organizations doing good work. They run their own show — we just help with funding.

  • Safe Space — A low-barrier shelter for unhoused individuals in Chico, operating with a "come as you are" philosophy.
  • CHAT — Providing affordable rental housing and supportive services to help residents maintain long-term stability.
  • True North Housing Alliance — Moving people out of homelessness in Butte County through shelters, outreach, and housing programs.
  • Legacy Stage — A professional theater company producing plays, Shakespeare in the Park, and educational programs.
